GANADOS MACUTO was founded in 1974 by Don Andrés Aparicio, in Bañares (Spain), a small town located in La Rioja. At the very beginning, he worked as a shepherd, just like his father did. However, thanks to his enterprising spirit, he went one step further and promoted the trade of livestock.
This family owned business has been passed down from parents to children, inspired by their passion for animals, their perseverance and their daily efforts. They have always worked hard to offer their customers, from all over the world, the best quality of products.
Nowadays, the third family generation keeps the legacy alive as it provides the company with the most innovative technologies for the animal welfare and the quality of their meat.
COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT
Ganados Macuto has invested in renewable energy, specifically solar panels, in order to reduce CO₂ emissions.
The project is Renewable Energy, Hydrogen and Cogeneration, whose objective is the installation of renewable energy generation facilities. It has involved an investment of €12,995.67 and is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Programme of La Rioja 2021–2027.
